If you are caring for a severely disabled person for at least 35 hours a week you could get Carers Allowance. The disabled person must be entitled to Attendence Allowance, Disabled Living Allowance, a Constant Attendance Allowance, War Disablement Pension or Industrial Injuries Disablement Pension. If you are entitled to Carers Allowance you may also qualify for the Carers Premium which is paid on top of Pension Credit.

You need to earn a set figure weekly and not be in full time education( 21 hours) to qualify. Will not receive if getting State Retirement Pension but will get extra on Pension Credit.
