NEW KCC ADULT SOCIAL SERVICES CARE INITIATIVE

The Community Information & Liaison Assistant service can provide information about services and groups in the local area to help older adults, or those caring for older adults, to deal with everyday problems and needs.

The service provides a community-based information guide, which can be found in local libraries and a number of other locations around the district.

It can also direct and signpost people to other sources of help and advice, and where needed can set up group events to help people find health promotion advice.

The Care Navigator Service can provide assistance to deal with a wide range of everyday problems.

If you feel that you need support, you can have a one-to-one meeting with the Care Navigator who can discuss your problem or need, and then investigate a list of possible options to enable you to select your preferred way forward.

Both services are free, impartial, confidential and non-judgemental.

The Community Information & Liaison Assistant is based at Age Concern in Whitstable, and the Care Navigator at Age Concern Canterbury.
