Carers' Voice is a local charity which provides support and information for Carers.
Carers Support Groups

Our Carers Support Groups are informal and friendly.  Most groups meet on a monthly basis.  The groups have interesting speakers and outings and are a good opportunity to make new friends.  Our groups are held in Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay, Faversham, Birchington and Ramsgate.  We also have a Carers Support Group just for men.  Meetings are held every month.

Parent Carers
We provide Support Groups for Parents of Adults with a learning disability.  The Groups have informal meetings and we hope to discuss and resolve issues parents may be experiencing and to offer friendship, support and information.  Meetings are held in Margate and Herne Bay every six weeks.

Advocacy Service
A service for Carers and the people they care for over the age of 60.  Help with your entitlements, residential care, complaints and assistance with understanding official correspondence.

Counselling
We have two Volunteer Counsellors who are able to offer support to Carers.  They are based in Herne Bay and Ramsgate. 

Forums and Information Workshops
Our forums give you a chance to meet with professionals to get advice and answers to your questions.  Our workshops include a variety of topics from healthy eating to seated exercises.

A Voice for Carers
We are always willing to support Carers on relevant issues within our community or on a national level through our links with the Princess Royal Trust for Carers and             Carers UK.

Social Activities
With the support of donations we are able to offer days out and special events for our     Carers.  A great opportunity for you to take a break and relax.
