CROP is a Registered Charity funded partly by KCC Social Services
It is a visiting advocacy service staffed mostly by volunteers and carries out valuable work in the Kent community.

CROP helps people over 60 with a wide range of issues and considerable time is spent helping to maximize the benefits available to this group by assisting with benefit and similar forms.

Pension Credit, Council Tax Benefit and other such often daunting forms are also frequently completed for service users and we achieve a high rate of success.

Referrals are taken from organisations or individuals and are often from relatives or carers and frequently from the service user themselves.

CROP aims to leave the service user in a stronger position than when they first came into contact with them CROP does not make decisions but tries to provide all the options relating to the service user’s particular case.

Our volunteers all attend ongoing training courses and are enhanced CRB cleared.

We are able to give talks and presentations to local groups across the region and as our take up of client’s increases we are always on the lookout for new volunteers.
