The Shopmobility scheme is sponsored by the City Council and Land Securites (Whitefriars) Local Businesses and support from user donations, which allows anyone with a mobility problem, whether temporary or permanent, to get about the city/town with the use of scooters and wheelchairs (manual and powered) that we can provide on an hourly, daily or weekly basis.

At the Canterbury Centre in Whitefriars multi storey car park we have:

• 17 Electric 4 wheeled scooters
• 2 Powered Wheelchairs
• 20 Manual Wheelchairs
• Accessible toilet facilities

At the Herne Bay Centre we have:

• 8  Electric 4 wheeled scooters
• 6  Manual Wheelchairs
• Accessible toilet facilities 

Using Shopmobility.
When you arrive at one of the centres for the first time, a member of staff will take down your details and then familiarize you with the equipment that you wish to use. When you are satisfied with the instruction and feel confident enough, you are free to explore at your leisure.

Canterbury Opening Times.
Monday to Friday
10.00am - 4.00pm Saturday 9.30am - 3.30pm(Including Bank Holidays)

Herne Bay Opening Times.
Monday to Friday 10.00am - 4.00pm(Excluding Bank Holidays)
